Brief
The SDSU Student Symposium, or S3 is an annual showcase of SDSU student discovery, innovation, and creativity held each spring semester. The goal was to create a triptych series is meant to portray the stages of an idea coming from inside a person’s head into fruition. The series uses different type and texture treatments to convey the changes students’ ideas go through when they are making their projects. The first phase where the idea in a person’s head is blurry and unclear. The second stage is the planning and buildup phase, where the person's idea is bare-bones and in-development. The final stage is when a person’s idea has finally reached physical development and has reached completion. The Standard Poster shows the creation phase, where the idea has reached a final physical stage. The 3-D shapes are a metaphor for an idea having taken shape and become a finalized product of hard work.
